Ming Dynasty Shard Pendant (1360-1600 CE)
This item is a glazed pottery shard with decorations, which has
been set into a silver mount so it can be safely worn as a pendant!
This beautiful design was originally part of a cup, bowl or vase
which was broken in antiquity and is now preserved as a beautiful
piece of jewelry. Pendant measures 38mm tall, 32mm wide. The pottery
shard has been cleaned to restore its original bright colors.

Liao Dynasty Buddhist Prayer Tile
Liao Dynasty, (907-1125 CE)This molded clay tile is an
ancient Buddhist prayer set in stone! Tiles of this type were
created to bless temples and other buildings, and were often stored
by the thousands inside a buildings foundation or architecture. Each
tile was molded by a Buddhist monk while a prayer was said over it.
This tile depicts a seated Bodhisattva deity, kneeling in a posture
of prayer. Tile is 42mm tall, 34mm wide, and has very nice detail of
the figures robes. $26.00 |
